Shipping Policy (配送について)

Effective date: 26 July 2026

1. Scope

This Policy sets out how Suzuki & Co., Ltd. ("Suzuki") packages and ships goods sold by Suzuki from Suzuki’s warehouse in Japan to Customer addresses, within Japan and overseas.

Suzuki is the seller and the shipper. Suzuki does not provide shipping, consolidation, or forwarding services for goods not sold by Suzuki. Parcels not belonging to Suzuki Orders sent to the warehouse will not be accepted.

This Policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Service.

2. Process from Order placement to receipt of goods

  1. Order Confirmation: after payment is recorded, the Product is held for the Customer and its status changes to "Preparing".
  2. Picking and final inspection: warehouse staff pick the correct Product according to the item management code, compare it with the published images and description, and take photographs recording its condition before packaging.
  3. Packaging: the Product is packaged appropriately for its characteristics (fragile, electronic, clothing, large item). Products in the same Order are packaged together when the size allows.
  4. Handover to the carrier: the parcel is handed over to the carrier, and the tracking number is updated in the Customer’s account and sent by email.
  5. Delivery: the carrier delivers to the address provided by the Customer. For international Orders, the parcel goes through customs procedures in the destination country before delivery.

3. Shipping origin and processing time

  • All goods are shipped from the Suzuki warehouse in Satte, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
  • Standard processing time: 1–3 business days from when payment is recorded, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese public holidays.
  • Processing time may be longer during Japan’s long holiday periods (Golden Week, Obon, New Year holidays), when extraordinary events occur, or when the Product requires special packaging. Suzuki will announce on the website if there is any change to the warehouse dispatch schedule.

4. Delivery within Japan

4.1 Carriers

Suzuki uses Yamato Transport and Japan Post, selected according to size, weight, and delivery address.

4.2 Estimated delivery time

Usually 1–3 days after handover to the carrier, depending on the area. Hokkaido, Okinawa, and remote islands may take longer.

4.3 Shipping fees

Fees are calculated according to the size and weight of the parcel and the destination area, and are displayed before the Customer submits the Order.

4.4 Large items

Furniture, large home appliances, and oversized Products are delivered by specialized services. Delivery time and fees are quoted separately on the Product page or before Order Confirmation. Some oversized Products are delivered only within Japan.

5. International shipping

5.1 Supported countries and territories

Suzuki ships to the countries and territories listed at the address selection step. The list may change depending on shipping conditions, import/export regulations, and Suzuki’s policies from time to time.

5.2 Shipping methods

Depending on the delivery address and parcel, the Customer selects from the methods displayed at checkout:

MethodNotes
FedExExpress delivery, with tracking, higher fee.
Japan Post EMSPostal express delivery, with tracking.
Japan Post Air ParcelFor small, light parcels.
Japan Post Surface MailFor heavy parcels, long transit time.

Not every method is available for every country or every Product. Products with lithium batteries are shipped only by methods that accept batteries.

5.3 Estimated delivery time

Calculated from handover to the carrier, excluding warehouse processing time and customs clearance time:

MethodEstimate
FedEx2–5 business days
EMS3–10 business days
Air Parcel7–20 days
Surface Mail1–3 months

These are estimates provided by the carrier and are not commitments by Suzuki. Actual times may be longer due to customs, weather, holidays in the destination country, or carrier disruptions.

5.4 International shipping fees

Fees are calculated according to actual weight or volumetric weight (whichever is greater), parcel size, destination country, and selected method. Fees are displayed in full before the Customer submits the Order. Displayed fees do not change after the Order is confirmed, unless the Customer requests a change of address or method.

5.5 Multiple Products in one Order

Products in the same Order are packaged together and charged as one combined parcel when size allows. Suzuki does not combine Orders that have been confirmed separately.

6. Import duties, taxes, and fees in the destination country

  1. Orders shipped outside Japan are exported on the condition that the recipient bears import duties.
  2. Import duties, value-added tax, customs clearance fees, carrier handling fees, and other amounts collected by authorities in the destination country are borne by the Customer and are not included in the amount paid to Suzuki.
  3. Suzuki makes truthful customs declarations according to the actual sale price and accurately describes the Product. Suzuki does not underdeclare value, mark items as "gift", or change descriptions at the Customer’s request.
  4. The Customer is responsible for understanding and complying with import regulations in their country, including restrictions on specific Products and required permits.
  5. If the Customer refuses to pay duties, resulting in the parcel being returned or destroyed, it will be handled in accordance with Section 10.

7. Transfer of risk and insurance

  1. Suzuki is responsible for the Product until the parcel is handed over to the carrier. From the time of handover, the risk of loss and damage during transportation is handled according to the carrier’s terms and applicable insurance.
  2. If the parcel is damaged or lost during transportation, Suzuki will submit a compensation claim to the carrier on behalf of the Customer and refund the Customer in accordance with the Return and Refund Policy.
  3. Shipping methods include basic insurance according to the rules of each carrier. Suzuki does not sell separate additional insurance.
  4. For a compensation claim to be processed, the Customer must keep the packaging unchanged, photograph the parcel and Product immediately upon discovering damage, and notify Suzuki within the period specified in the Return and Refund Policy.

8. Delivery address

  1. The Customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate address, including the recipient’s telephone number. For international Orders, the address must be written in Latin characters in the format of the destination country and include a postal code if applicable.
  2. After the Order has been handed over to the carrier, Suzuki cannot change the address. Before that time, the Customer may request an address change through the support channel; shipping fees may be recalculated if the new address is in a different area.
  3. Suzuki does not deliver to P.O. Boxes for express delivery and may refuse delivery to third-party forwarding addresses.
  4. Costs arising from an incorrect or incomplete address (reshipment, return, storage at the carrier) are borne by the Customer.

9. Order tracking

The tracking number is updated in the Customer’s account and sent by email when the parcel is handed over to the carrier. Tracking information is provided by the carrier and may be updated with a delay of several days, especially during customs clearance. If the tracking number is not updated for more than 10 days for an international Order, the Customer should contact Suzuki, and Suzuki will check with the carrier.

10. Failed delivery, returned parcels

  1. A parcel may be returned to Japan when the recipient is absent beyond the carrier’s holding period, the address is incorrect, the recipient refuses receipt, refuses to pay duties, or the destination country’s customs does not allow import.
  2. When the parcel arrives back at the Suzuki warehouse, Suzuki will notify the Customer and propose one of the following two handling methods:
    • Reshipment: the Customer pays the reshipment fee and any additional fees incurred (return fee, carrier storage fee if any).
    • Order cancellation and refund: Suzuki refunds the Product price after deducting the initial shipping fee, return fee, and any additional fees charged by the carrier; the Product is listed for sale again.
  3. If the Customer does not respond within 30 days from the notice, Suzuki will handle the matter using the Order cancellation and refund option described above.
  4. Parcels seized or destroyed by customs in the destination country due to violations of import regulations that the Customer was responsible for checking are not eligible for a refund.

11. Products subject to shipping restrictions

Suzuki may refuse to deliver certain Products to certain countries or by certain methods, including but not limited to:

  • Products with lithium batteries (cameras, electronic devices) are shipped only by methods that accept batteries, in accordance with the carrier’s dangerous goods regulations;
  • Aerosols, flammable liquids, perfume, cosmetics containing alcohol;
  • Products with parts from protected animals (ivory, skins of certain species, coral) under the CITES Convention;
  • Antiques subject to export permission requirements under Japanese regulations;
  • Knives, swords, and sharp objects subject to restrictions in the destination country;
  • Products prohibited from import into the destination country under the laws of that country;
  • Oversized Products exceeding the limits of international carriers.

When it is discovered that a Product cannot be delivered to the Customer’s address, Suzuki will notify the Customer and refund the full amount paid for that Product.

12. Packaging and packing materials

  1. Suzuki packages according to internal standards appropriate for each type of Product; fragile Products are wrapped with cushioning material and marked.
  2. The manufacturer’s original packaging is included only when stated in the list of accessories. Suzuki may place the original packaging inside an outer box for protection.
  3. Suzuki does not provide gift-wrapping services or removal of packaging upon request.

13. Delays and force majeure

Suzuki is not responsible for delivery delays caused by natural disasters, severe weather, epidemics, strikes, carrier disruptions, prolonged customs inspections, changes in import/export policies, or other events beyond reasonable control. Delays for these reasons are not grounds for Order cancellation or compensation claims, unless the parcel is determined to be lost under the Return and Refund Policy.
